Is it a deli? A wine shop? A clothing store? A restaurant? All of the above! The place brings together the talents of its two creators, stylist Camille Andrieux, who champions fashion "made to last", and chef Éric Fontanini, formerly of Savoy and Ducasse. Against the white walls, colourful quilted banquettes and bright sweatshirts stand out among shelves brimming with gourmet treasures (spices, dried herbs…). The plates follow the seasons: beetroot with fermented raspberries and quince vinegar, well-garlicked puntarelle. It's fresh and full of energy. The dishes are classic and autumnally comforting — sausage and mash (what a lovely meat jus!) and Basque trout resting on a bed of polenta swimming in a sorrel cream that makes you want to mop up every last drop. Come teatime, freshly baked cookies come straight out of the oven courtesy of young Constantin Piard (one to watch), and in the evening, good cocktails invite you to settle in at the sea-green zellige-clad bar: a multifaceted spot where it's a pleasure to sit down without any fuss.
