Taking care of your pieces.
At HABILE., a garment isn't made for a season — it's made to last. Our pieces are crafted from natural materials, in limited runs, in France and Portugal. Taking good care of them extends their life — and that's already something for the planet.
Our tips, one by one

Dry cleaning is a technique for washing delicate fabrics that wouldn't survive a regular washing machine cycle. It avoids the water that can damage certain fibres and uses liquid solvents (despite what the name suggests) that protect the textile…

First and foremost, read the care label carefully The care label tells you what's best for preserving the textile material used. Cott…
Our principles
- Wash less, wash better. A garment often needs airing more than washing. Spacing out washes preserves the fibres and colours.
- At low temperature. 30 °C is enough in most cases: better for the fabric, for your colours and for energy.
- Skip the dry cleaner. Most of our pieces are perfectly easy to care for at home — avoid dry cleaning when it isn't necessary.
- Air drying. Skip the tumble dryer, which wears and distorts; flat drying is preferred for knitwear.
By material
- Knitwear (knitted by Saint James): hand wash or cold wool cycle, dry flat, never hang.
- Cotton and natural materials: wash at 30 °C, iron at moderate temperature.
