Under the same roof of this 10th arrondissement boutique, racks of clothes and bistro dishes!
Between knitting and fussing, Camille Andrieux (a trained stylist who worked for Marc Jacobs) and Eric Fontanini (former head chef at the Palais-Royal) couldn't choose! This is how this tailor/canteen was born, an astonishing mix of “a restaurant with its own brand of clothes and a brand of clothes that has its own restaurant”, as the lovebirds’ slogan goes.
This results in an elegant spot on two floors, with, on the ground floor, an emerald zelliges counter where you can elbow your way through, a few tables placed here and there and natural skittles in four colours, parading across immaculate walls – white L’Effrontée by Simon Gastrein (€49), red Hey Gamin! by François Saint-Lô (€52), Callisto orange from the Stella Nova estate (€48), Toutes les même rosé from the Einhart estate (€45)… And for the +1, unisex clothes from the Habile brand designed by Camille, for herself and her +1, with a penchant for work clothes intended for the tertiary sector executive.
In the kitchen, they embroider effective dishes with perfect cooking, like this Chirac-style poultry pâté en croûte with duck foie gras, celery and hazelnuts (€16), these pearly diving scallops, galloping on mashed potatoes and leeks (€27), or this comforting rice pudding with vanilla and olive oil from the Sénancole estate (€10). Also worth noting are the breakfasts with locally sourced products: French toast and homemade salted butter caramel (€10), fromage blanc from the Fontaine farm in Normandy, granola and snacked pear (€11), chocolate cookie made with Annie Bertin's organic wheat flour, pecans and hazelnuts (€4).
One last piece of advice: it's best to do your shopping with all your wits about you (so before the refreshment bar), so as not to end up with your PEL shaped like a model - jackets at €245, overalls at €235...!
