Latest news: A unique place.
And here we are, the holidays are already over and the return to work with its share of troubles is just around the corner...
It’s okay, it’s the same every year, and as for us, our batteries are fully recharged!
To start things off right, we are highlighting a winery we had the chance to visit this summer and absolutely LOVE, the TERREBRUNE estate.

To start things off right, we are highlighting a winery we had the chance to visit this summer and absolutely LOVE, the TERREBRUNE estate.
35 hectares located in the BANDOL vineyard, more specifically on the Trias massif with its exceptional clay-limestone terroir that gives these wines their unique character.
This estate, created in 1963 by Georges Delille, is now managed by his son Reynald Delille and Jean d’Arthuys, with the same guiding principle: respect for nature, no chemicals, and minimal intervention to allow this unique Bandol terroir to fully express itself in the wines.

But let's get back to the subject at hand, what is terroir? This term is hard to translate into other languages. It’s not just soil or subsoil, it’s a whole set: 'It refers to a region (territory) where an agricultural production (cultivation, breeding) originates, resulting from the unique combination of cultural factors (techniques and know-how) and natural factors (geology, pedology, climate, exposure, microbiology).
In short, if this land allows the production of remarkable wines, it is thanks to those who work it, cultivate it, and enhance it "simply" by respecting it.
Now, let's talk a little about the wines because that's why we're here...
The domain has always operated in the same way since its creation, resisting the trend of parceling, producing a red, a rosé, and a white.
Let's start with the red wine. Here, the king grape variety is mourvèdre. A very capricious grape variety that this domain has managed to tame with rare mastery. The red wine is composed of 85% mourvèdre, with 15% grenache and 5% cinsault.

Thanks to the richness of their terroir, all of these wines have exceptional aging potential, which allows us to store them in the cellar without tiring of offering them to you for immediate pleasure.
In short, we are very proud to work with this small-scale domain that, with red, white, or rosé, enhances the authentic and seasonal cuisine of our chef Eric Fontanini.
